Sacramento is located approximately 35 mintues from either Heredia or Alajuela. There are two routes to Sacramento.
The preferred route from Alajuela and the airport is through Birri. From Heredia, the route would include the following:

Heredia-Barva-San Jose de la Montana-San Miguel-Porrosati-Sacramento

The Braulio Carillo National Park Barva entrance is approximately three kilometers from Sacramento.The Barva Volcano crater lake is another three kilomer hike from the park entrance.
