Directions:

Drive north from Auckland on SH 1 to the end of the motorway through the Johnston Hill tunnel. Approx. 5 kms from the tunnel turn right off SH 1 into Mahurangi West Road [sign reads as Mahurangi Regional Park]. Te Muri Ridge is approx. 5 kms on the right. Drive along the unsealed driveway for 1 kilometre and down through the wooden farm gates at the end.
