How to get there
We fly into the San Jose airport and use a local transportation service to drop us at the hotel. The concierge services at Villa del Arco are terrific; after all they hope that others like us will purchase a time share week there. We use taxis for trips into town, when we don't walk on the beach. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the marina on the beach.

Getting around
Carlos has greeted us upon our arrival for the 14 years we've been staying at Villa del Arco. The service crew calls taxis for guests and the wait is never more than two or three minutes. For longer trips, we use excursion companies that pick up on property or at Villa del Palmar (an adjacent hotel). Sometimes, we book a car company for the day that typically provides a driver with a newer Suburban.
