How to get there
A car is not essential as there is a bus stop very close by with buses going to both Carlisle (train station) and Newcastle (airport) however I would highly recommend coming by car as there is just so many more places you can go to with your own transport.

Getting around
The best way to explore is by car but should you wish to visit a little further a field a day trip to Edinburgh is easy by train or take a bus from the road end into Newcastle. The bus drive is very interesting as it passes through lots of little villages on the way. Carlisle too is well worth exploring where there is a good shopping centre and the castle.
