Surfside Estate is located at the very entrance of the village of Potrero, next to the bay. It takes approximately 60 minutes to travel by car from Liberia airport to our property. You can easily rent a car from the airport. Representatives from the rental company will pick you up in a shuttle at the airport to drive you to their office, usually approx10 minutes away.

HOW TO GET HERE!

By car, from Liberia, Guanacaste:
• Duration: Approx. 1 hr
• Miles by land: 50 miles by car
Drive to Filadelfia, then to Belen, passing through town, there is an intersection with signs to Tamarindo, Flamingo, Conchal and Potrero. Turn right and follow the signs until you reach a town called Huacas; follow the indication to Flamingo, then Potrero. If you want to enjoy a nice pastry and coffee on your way here, stop in Belen, at the major intersection where you are supposed to turn right, there is a bakery called Musmanni. Consistently serving a variety of quality breads, pastries, cakes, cookies and other convenience items, Musmanni is easily the best place to find a quick and delicious snack at a reasonable price. Considered the most popular bakery chain in Costa Rica, its welcoming orange lettered chef's hat logo is immediately identified.

By shuttle-taxi from Liberia airport: This is usually how we get home from the airport. Go to the Ecotran website and make your reservation online. They will ask for your flight number and a representative for that company will greet you at the airport holding a sign with your name on it. Those travelers with the same destination will leave on the same shuttle. Fare is 25$ per person to get here

Get to Hotel Bahia Del Sol and call our property manager for pick up - You might have noticed that Costa Ricans do not use street addresses, so we found that one of the simplest way for our guests to find their way to our home was to get to Hotel Bahia Del Sol (which is a few minutes away) and to phone our property manager, Lilian. She lives on the street next to our property and can arrange to meet with you or send a taxi. Let us know your arrival time and she will gladly welcome you home and show you around.
