Goa is a small state so mercifully travel distances are not daunting. The best way to travel is by car. The bad news is that taxi fares are arbitrary and exorbitant. The good news is that soon all taxis will be installed with Fare Meters. The public buses are ubiquitous and relatively cheap and these guys will halt anywhere but they are packed to the rafters. Sardines in a can have more room. Between 11am and 4pm, when Goa sleeps, would be the best time to board one. But why travel? You came for the Sun and the Sea. Just slouch, relax, drink, rest, float (for Pete's sake don't swim), eat, drink (repeated yes), party, sleep.To get to the Saudades Bungalow: Once you are on the main Candolim-Calangute road slow down near the Hotel Le Season (On your right if pointing towards Calangute) and turn into the road, bang opposite the hotel, which leads down to the beach. Drive down this concrete road till you get to Deo-Dom guest house on your left. Here you turn right and drive along the compound wall of the Saudades Bungalow and park behind the house.
