Getting around

Car is the easiest way to get about, with most of the key sights within half an hour's drive If you're fit enough to cycle up the hill to Porth-y-Parc, a bike would also be ideal - but remember this is a VERY hilly area! Guests without private transport usually arrive by train (Abergavenny Station) and then either get a taxi up to us (10 minutes, about £5) or walk (40 minutes, with a long climb over the last mile and a half). Once here, if you like walking, you don't need a car, as fabulous walks start from your door, with lovely pub / eating options attached. Supermarket deliveries are easily organised
