How to get there
When you reach Galway, please drive along the coast road from Galway, to the seaside village of Barna (just 3 miles west of Galway City and Salthill ). In Barna village, take a right at the first (and only) traffic light, at the 12 Hotel. Drive up hill for 1.8 miles, through the first 4-way crossroads, on to the second 4-way crossroads, (locally known as Paddy's Cross). Turn right. Our house is the second house on the left (stone face, 3 arches). Up Away cottage is on right of house. Deck outside. Park there. Address is Paddyscross, Aille, Barna. (If using Satnav, type in Barna Golf Club, we are 300 metres east from it)

Getting around
We are poorly served by public transport, so a car is almost a necessity. There is a good, keenly priced, locally based taxi service in Barna. There is a Galway to Connemara Bus Eireann Bus stops in Barna six times a day in each direction. The Aran Ferries bus also stops in the village.
