From Melbourne travel north on the Hume Hwy for approx 2.5 hours. Turn off the hwy on B500 the Great Alpine Rd to Beechworth and Bright (this is well signposted and comes soon after all signs to Wangaratta). Beechworth is a 30 minute drive after turning off the Hume Hwy. Travel along the Great Alpine Rd and take the turnoff to Beechworth (C315).

From Albury/Canberra/Sydney travel south to Beechworth via Wodonga on the Beechworth Rd. After a 30 minute drive, you will come into Beechworth passing the Beechworth Secondary College and Beechworth Health Service. Keep driving until you see the Old Beechworth Goal and turn left into Williams St (bordering the Goal). Then turn left into High St and Surrey Lane is first on your right.
