How to get there
Follow the A6 from Bakewell or Buxton or the A515 from Ashbourne. Turn onto the B5270 (signposted Chelmorton) and then left into the village. Going up the main street, Swallow Barn is set back from the road, on the left hand side, approached via a gravel path. It is between a house called The Green (white gateposts) and one called The Smithy (just before a lane to the left).

Getting around
The nearest train station is at Buxton, one hour by train from Manchester. The most regular bus service to the village is the Transpeak (TP) route which runs between Derby and Manchester hourly and stops 10 minutes walk from Swallow Barn. If arriving by car you can park free on the roadside within sight of Swallow Barn. EV charging point available (charge applies).
