How to get there
Main access to Naxos is airplane to Athens, Santorini or Mykonos - and then boat further to Naxos. It is also a local plane access from Athens to Naxos 1-2 times a day. Normally no problem with same day travel from any destination in Europe to Villa Bella in Naxos.
From air-/sea-port is is about 15-18 km to the villa. We recommend renting a car (or another vehicle) for having the freedom to explore the island while you are here. Even if there are taxi and some buses, and grocery store close to house, own car is not necessary - but strongly recommended to see city and other parts of the island.

Getting around
Villa Bella is situated on the beach of a shallow (0-30 cm deep) lake which has warmer water than normal sea water. In the high season parts of the lake are dry so you can walk across to the main Glyfada Beach with dry feet. In the remaining part of the year you can easily cross the lake (80 m) by wading or walk around (400 m). Glydafa Beach is famous for windsurfing and especially kite surfing due to perfect wind and sufficient distance to the airport.
