From far away, reaching Talahogan involves flying into Phoenix, then driving approx. 2 hours north to Sedona via the neighboring town of Cottonwood. Alternatively, there is an airport shuttle (Groome Transportation) that will bring you right to the house; or alternatively, pick you up at the house and take you to the airport. It is an excellent service I use to get back and forth, and it may be useful in special situations for guests.

From neighboring states, Sedona can be reached via interstate freeways from either the south (Phoenix) or the north (Flagstaff). Many people are unaware of how mountainous central and northern Arizona are. Routes from the Phoenix low desert and the high country of Flagstaff involve considerable elevation change and take you through several distinct ecosystems. The Welcome Packet provides specific directions to Talahogan. Guests are encouraged to arrive in daylight as there are no street lights on the back road up to the property.
