From Dumfries, head west on A75 (east on A75 from Stranraer/Castle Douglas). After about 12 miles, turn right in village of Springholm, opposite the shop, towards Kirkpatrick Durham. At crossroads in Kirkpatrick Durham, turn right. Durhamhill's drive is the first on the right after leaving the village (one sign says 'The Coach House', other says 'Durhamhill'). Turn right down the drive, pass the first coach house on left (games room), pass the main house on left, and the Coach House is the last building on the left.Warning - do not follow sat. nav. for last mile or two as it will direct you up a 'shortcut' track to the right just before the village of Kirkpatrick Durham. This track is very bumpy and muddy. The Grapes pub in Springholm usually serves free meals for children.
