How to get there

Fly to Zurich or Geneva (Easyjet) and on leaving the airport station, enjoy about a three & a half hours train journey of picturesque scenery up to Zermatt.

Alternatively, drive more quickly by car to the village of Tasch where there is covered parking before the 10 min train journey to Zermatt. This runs every 20 mins in the Winter & Summer from 6 am - 11.30pm after which taxis are available. But in high season, trains run all night, please check. www.sbb.ch
Trains from Milan & Zurich are marginally longer.

Haus Zayetta is so close to the station that there is no need for a taxi in Zermatt . Luggage can be put on trolleys and taken round the front of the Hotel Alex to Haus Zayetta which is a 3 mins walk from the station.

With the Gornegrat train and main square so close, guests are perfectly situated to catch this famous mountain train which provides skiing links to Zermatt's other two ski areas.

Zermatt's other two lift stations can be accessed by electric taxis or free electric shuttle in the main square.

Getting around

There are no cars in Zermatt. Taxis can be ordered to come to the apartment or a two minute walk will bring you to the station square where they can be picked up. Opposite the main station there is a mountain train, know as the Gornergrat train running three times an hour in the day time. This train links to all the different ski areas. Buses also leave from here to all the ski areas and the outskirts of Zermatt. In peak times these run every 6 or 7 minutes but they do not run at night..
