It is very easy to visit other major cities by train. The apartment is just a few minutes walking from the Train Station: . Porto Historical Centre and Aveiro: around 30 minutes (Urban train; direct) . Coimbra: about 1 hour (Intercidades train; direct) . Braga: about 1 hour (change the train at Porto Campanhã). From Braga, you can also consider visiting Guimarães.
