TIVAT AIRPORT. Nearest airport is Tivat airport 10 kms. Flights from Gatwick Manchester & other UK airports, Moscow, Belgrade to Tivat.
DUBROVNIK AIRPORT. Dubrovnik 60 kms. Flights from most major European airports to Dubrovnik which is 90 minutes to Prcanj, Kotor.

Car recommended although not a necessity especially if you are just flying into Tivat don’t want to bother with lots of sightseeing & just wish to take it easy strolling around & chilling out in the lovely waterside restaurants nearby.
If you are arriving at Dubrovnik a car is recommended as public transport is not good from Dubrovnik airport to Montenegro but a taxi can be arranged to collect you if you are not hiring a car. The buses leave from the bus station in Dubrovnik town but do not stop at the airport on route to Montenegro.
It is 20 kms from Dubrovnik airport to the bus station via shuttle bus/taxi.
PODGORICA AIRPORT. Podgorica airport. Flights from Stanstead, Brussels (both Ryanair) & other European airports to Podgorica in Montenegro. Approx 90 mins to Prcanj, Kotor from Podgorica.

Getting around
I recommend car hire as a first choice especially if you want to go sightseeing & visiting the beaches around the coastline & if you are traveling from Dubrovnik airport. However, it is not necessary if you just want to stay local & chill & arriving to Tivat airport. There are local buses going to the major towns & the taxis are plentiful & inexpensive. Taxi Prcanj to Kotor approx €4.50 & bus €1 p.p. Change buses in Kotor for further travel onwards. No trains except only a train from Bar in the south of Montenegro to Belgrade in Serbia. There are some “private taxi” taxi companies operating & these are to be avoided at all costs. Only use the recommended taxi from management company or Red Taxi & Djir Taxi around Prcanj & Kotor.
