Getting around
To travel to the main cities of Tuscany, I recommend your car as well as public transport. To reach Florence, for example, I recommend the train, leaving your car in the free parking at Pontedera Station (10km from the house) and get off at Santa Maria Novella Station in Florence, without having to worry about traffic jam or parking. Also to reach Siena or Pisa you can use the train comfortably from Pontedera station For other cities like Lucca, Arezzo, Pistoia (Pinocchio Park for Kids) or seaside resorts, or to move for sightseeing around the Villa, I would recommend the car instead. To reach the Parco delle Cinque Terre, I recommend the train, passing Pisa towards Genoa, because in the summer it is a very busy area difficult to park.
