By plane: Lake Orta is located about 45 km from Milan Malpensa Airport (SS336 to Vergiate, then highway to Arona) and about 100 km from Milan Linate Airport (take the "tangenziale", then highway to Arona).
By train: Gozzano and Orta San Giulio stations are served by the Novara-Domodossola railway line.
