How to get there
Off the A1, just take the turn off to Thirsk, drive to Kirbymoorside and turn left to Hutton le hole , Castleton is signposted, drive approx. 12 miles across the top of the moors and you will drive down into Castleton, The Nest is facing the road with parking directly in front of it. The Nest is opposite the Downe arms.

Getting around
The station to Whitby and Middlesborough is a short walk from the front door.( up hill if arriving at the cottage) . You can get to the NYM railway by the local train, then catch the steam train to Pickering. No need to drive if you do not wish to.
