How to get there
70 miles south east from Washington.
We enjoy the drive down route 4 to Solomon's Island and then over the sky high Johnson Bridge to watch the boats in the Patuxent River.
Equally as fast, the route down Route 5 is usually recommend by navigation systems. The route offers the opportunity to pass through Amish Country, and visit the market in the parking lot of the Mechanicsville Public Library. Antique Barns in Hughsville and a host of garden stands.
