How to get there
Casa Appennina is located in Albareto, the most westerly part of Parma Province, a mountainous region where Emilia-Romagna meets Liguria and Tuscany.
Getting There – By Air
The most convenient airport* for Albareto and the Taro Valley is Giuseppe Verdi Airport in Parma (PMT). Just 60 km away, it is easily reached by road. Transport options between the airport and Albareto consist of a bus service that runs until the early evening, but we recommend that you organise car hire prior to arrival (see below)
As an alternative, it is possible to fly to Bologna airport or Pisa airport, but these are less convenient due to the increased distance.
Airport Transfers
Casa Appenninia offers an airport pick up service to and from Parma for €80 Euro, and Bologna or Pisa airports for €120 Euro per journey (for up to three passengers).

Getting Around – Car Hire A rental car or motorbike remains the most suitable form of transport for exploring the places to see around Casa Appenninia. Of the larger car hire companies, Hertz, Avis and Firefly have desks in Parma airport. They usually offer competitive deals when booked in combination with an air ticket. The only car hire nearby, Rental Autonoleggio is located in the village of Gotra, just a few kilometers from the holiday apartment in Albareto, and provides a wide variety of cars and motorbikes for rent.
