Getting around

Keepers Cottage is in a unspoilt location of Northumberland National Park. We are in a secluded area which is off the beaten track. There are no street lights and our area is known for it's dark skies. Perfect for star gazers, and we even sometimes get treated to the Northern Lights. Because of our location is it essential to get to Keepers Cottage by car. In order to get around the area, it is possible to travel by train. Our nearest station is Bardon Mill, which is on the Newcastle to Carlisle line. Also, in the summer, there is the Hadrian's Wall bus service (AD122). This runs from Hexham to Haltwhistle along Hadrian's Wall.
