How to get there

Rhodes has a medium sized International airport, with many direct flights from various airports in the UK, Europe, Israel and Russia. There is no direct bus service from the airport to the south of the island, but taxis are usually plentiful, and easy to find opposite the airport building. Hire cars can be collected from the airport, and are probably the most economical option.

It is possible to manage without a car, but having a car means you get to see a lot more of this beautiful island, and on the practical side, shopping is much easier! There are lots of car hire companies - we are happy to advise the best choices based on years of experience.

Getting around

We recommend hiring a car for your stay, but if you prefer not to, there is a good bus service between villages. The bus stops are down on the coast road, only a short walk away. Rhodes also has a good number of taxis, easily recognisable, they are navy blue, sometimes with a white roof, and a TAXI sign on top. Fares are reasonable, and they can be flagged down along the road. Parking in many areas is free, but bays marked with blue lines in Rhodes Town require payment. Some car parks near Lindos also charge a fee.
