Once you cross the bridge over the lake in Iznajar, you will see bar/restaurant on your left (Juani’es). There is a turn into the village on your right, look for a sign for “Casa Rural el Olivar” at this junction on your right, Turn right into the village here (don’t cross the second bridge).- follow that road and continue as it goes around to the left.

Head on straight through the lower part of the village – you will see cliffs to your right upon which the upper part of the village sits and the Police Station (a salmon colour building) on your left. Keep on past the funeral home to your left – easy to spot as there are usually people standing outside and as you reach a bend to your left you will see “Bar Claveles” on you right. Keep going straight ahead and you will pass “Bar Verde” on your left. There will be a green fountain (which is a roundabout) straight ahead and slightly on your left.

Keep going straight through the roundabout and you’ll see the road starts to go up hill. Go up the hill and take the first turning you reach on the left. You will come immediately to a stop sign, (PLEASE BE CAREFUL AT THIS TURN) turn right here onto Calle Cuesta Colora. You should now be heading uphill again, away from the village towards the water tower up ahead on your left.

After 200 meters or so, you’ll see a sign pointing ahead for Casa Rural El Oliver, (Don’t go on towards El Oliver,) take the left turn at this junction. You will see the water tower ahead on the left now, and the lake to your right.

We are 1.5 km down this road, (you will go down a steep dip and then a steep climb back uphill – the Villa is at the top of this hill) It is the 4th house on the right set just back from the road. You will see 2 white plastic reflective posts on your right. This is the Villa, look for the name of the house at the entrance under a large white flower pot.
