How to get there
Ironbridge is centrally located in the UK, easily reached by car. It is also well located for visitors who come by train, with Telford train station being the closest 8 km away. Public transport within the local area is reasonable. However you can walk to many of the local attractions as Ironbridge town itself is around 20 minutes walk and the nearest food shop around 10 minutes, so a car is certainly not essential. The nearest cafe and pub are less than five minutes walk!

Getting around
Carpenters Row Holiday Cottage is just a stone’s throw from the Ironbridge Gorge Museum of Iron and Enginuity ( an interactive engineering/science learning centre for children of all ages). As well as the history and many museums to explore, the area has lots of cycle routes and many lovely woodland walks that start from the doorstep of the cottage. Within walking distance of the cottage there are a wide range of pubs, cafes and restaurants in the Ironbridge Gorge area. The area also offers opportunities to fish, canoe, golf or visit the Greenwood Trust and learn traditional crafts such as making a coracle or a wicker basket.
