How to get there
Fly into Townsville airport; either take the regular Shuttle Bus service to the Ferry Terminal (15 minutes) or a Taxi.The passenger ferry is a 20 minute trip to Nelly Bay terminal & it is not necessary to book.The Island bus service meets every ferry .There are taxi's & it is an $8:00 - $10.00 taxi fare to Samsara which is in the next bay, or a bus trip with a 200 metre walk to the house. If you are bringing your car you can book on the car ferry. Just make sure if you have a hire car that the hire company will permit this.
If you have a hire car or campervan & don't want to bring it to the island, there is a secure yard at the car ferry terminal where it can be left free of charge if you travel on the car ferry as a walk on passenger.
