How to get there
You can get to Birgu by car, taxi , bus and even by water taxi. As you enter Birgu from Main Gate Road, past Cafe Riche, take the first right on Triq it-Torri ta' San Gwann, past the tower, the house is no 9.

Getting around
As this was originally our holiday home in Malta, during my visits I always made sure to relish every moment, every sight, every smell of this medieval town. Over these last few years it has been restored beautifully. Every day I would sit at the balcony, watching the world go by while having a good cup of coffee, then I would take a walk round the marina or visit a museum. My favourites are the church of St.Lawrence, the very same place where all the knights of the order were knighted, The Inquisitors palace and The Maritime Museum. A visit to the local street market on tuesdays and the farmers market on saturdays is a must. On sundays there is also an antiques market just outside the gates.
