How to get there
Your own car is essential when staying at Woodside Lodge, but some of our guests use public transport to reach Northumberland (train to Newcastle or Carlisle, then on to Hexham, nearest airport Newcastle) then hire a car. Off road parking is available for up to 2 cars.

Getting around
Your own transport is essential when staying at Woodside Lodge, whether car, motor bike, or bike. Electric bikes can be rented nearby, and for a min 24 rental can be delivered FOC to the Lodge. Buses run regularly from Hexham, including the AD122 Hadrian's Wall bus, which runs hourly during the summer months. Trains run to Newcastle and Carlisle and all stops inbetween.
