From Belfast take the M2 towards Antrim. Exit at junction 1 onto the A26 heading to Balllymoney/ Coleraine. At Ballymoney roundabout, take the B62 passing through the small village of Ballybogey in the direction of Portrush. Continue until you reach a turn to the right onto the B17 Priestland Road heading towards Bushmills. Just one mile short of Bushmills, take a turn to the right into the Ballyclogh Road. After about 400 metres, you will see, on the left, two white Irish pillar posts. Drive up the small lane to the back, where you will find Swallow Cottage. If travelling from Belfast International Airport, which is located close to the town of Antrim, there are car rental facilities available in the airport. The journey time from Belfast International to Bushmills is just over one hour. If you are arriving at Belfast City Airport (George Best Airport) allow approximately 1 hr 30 mins to reach Swallow Cottage. If by boat and car from Scotland, consider taking scenic coastal route along the north coast to Bushmills. It will whet your appetite for much more of what North Antrim has to offer and is certainly worth doing either on the way there or back.
