How to get there
The closest major airport is in Las Vegas, NV (about 2 hours away). However St. George Regional Airport has a small airport that has flight to Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City. Airline that services SGU is Delta, United and American Airlines.
From the main highway (I-15) it very easy to find the Whitehead Home, taking St. George Blvd off the highway, and then an easy right and you are there.

Getting around
Many activities, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance. Just down the street from the Whitehead Home is Brigham Young's Winter Home. To the south of the Young's home is Ancestor Square where you find many wonderful restaurants. George's is our favorite. Then across the street to the east is Urban Renewal with vintage furniture and clothing and repurposed furniture. Next to that is Jen's Rehab Furniture. Another block past that (longer walk ) is the Daughter of the Pioneer Museum. South across (St. George Blvd) restaurants (Bear Paw, 25 Main),tabernacle, Splash pad park and Judds's. To get to places like Snow Canyon State Park, Zion's National Park, and Tuacahn Outdoor Theater (to name a few) you will need a car.
