Fly to Heraklion Airport - distance 65 kilometres from us. Cheap UK/europe Flights available direct to Heraklion 9 months of the year. All year round flights go through athens before coming to Heraklion. Car Hire can be arranged by us if requested. Bus from Heraklion Airport to Agios Nikolaos run every hour and takes about 1 1/2 hr .Taxis can be found at the airport. Owner can arrange for one to be waiting with your name on your arrival. Ferry from mainland to Heraklion overnight then bus to Agios Nikolaos

Getting around
Hiring a car is a good idea if you want to go to all the small villages and explore the island but there is a good bus service. You definitely dont need a car in the town as our apartments are in a good position for a gentle walk around the town.
