There are many low cost airlines that operate to Romes 2 International airports (1hour 30 mins drive) or Pescara (60 mins drive) and you will find hire car at the airport. Major international car hire companies have facilities there too.

The exit from Ciampino airport couldn't be easier – just follow the signs to L'Aquila which leads you onto the spectacular A24. From L'Aquila it is a gentle mountain climb up to the Gran Sasso National Park and Capitignano Village in the foothills.

A road map of the area is advisable.

It is also possible to get there by train - Eurostar to Paris, then to Rome's Termini Station, then to L'Aquila. Bus to Capitignano.
