How to get there
Directions for Bertra Lodge, Bertra Road, Thornhill, Westport: Take the coast road R335 from Westport - direction Louisburgh and follow signs for Croagh Patrick. After approx. 8 km in the village of Murrisk go past the Croagh Patrick Carpark/Famine Memorial. Go straight on - after 1.5 km there is a large brown sign on the right "Bertra Strand". Turn right and follow this road towards the Beach. Before the beach and 100 m after going past a B&B there is a lane on the right. Turn right - we are the 3rd house on the left (wooden sign).
