How to get there
By Air:
La Grande Terche is approximately 90 minutes drive from Geneva Airport via autoroute or the more relaxing route along the lakeside and through Thonon.
Geneva is well-served by the UK airlines from most regional airports, including Easyjet, Jet2, Flybe, British Airways and KLM
Hiring a car is probably easiest - all the major car hire companies have offices at the airport - Avis, Hertz, Europcar from either the French or Swiss sides, although I would recomend getting one from the Swiss side in winter you won't need to pay the €30 for a Vignette to use the Swiss motorways and winter tyres are provided. Ski rack is recommended for those who wish to explore the ski area by car.
Airport transfers can be another alternative and run regularly during the ski season .
By Road:
The drive from Calais takes about 8 hours and is motorway all the way apart from the last 20 miles.
By car : A40 motorway from Geneva, heading towards Chamonix or Milan/Turin and then exit n°18 "Cluses /La Sardagne
Follow signs for Morzine (D902) then sign for St Jean d'Aulps (D902). In St Jean make a turn up to the left at the end of the village to La Grande Terche, which is the ski station for the village.
