Getting around
A car is recommended for making the most of your visit to the area. The local train station is only a minute drive and you can get trains to Windermere and The Lakes from here, but to take full advantage of the locality we suggest you need a car. There are scenic bus routes available from Kendal bus station (about a 10 minute drive away) and you can take an open top bus right through the Lakes if the weather allows! We are situated between the Lakes and Dales and the views as you travel around are simply stunning.
