How to get there
Public transport is not well developed. However, there is a shuttle bus from the airport to Lamezia train station and trains pass by Pizzo. Pizzo has even 2 train stations. Please inform yourself well. In our opinion it is most convenient to book a taxi for pick up at the airport in case you arrive by plane. Taxi service Lamezia-Pizzo is 40 Euro, from the stations it's 15 Euro or 10 Euro depending on the station.
We can organise a pick-up service with a local official taxi company if you wish.
Please further note, that there is no car or scooter rental in Pizzo. The next would be in Parghelia or Tropea.
Car rental is possible at the airport or in Tropea. Rent a small car as the alleys are narrow in the old town centers.

Getting around
See above information about how to get there. Getting around and discovering Calabria is best to do by car. However you can take the train to Tropea, Scilla or Reggio Calabria for day trips. That will give you a good first impression. You can even walk 1.5 km to the nearest train station "Stazione di Pizzo".
