You can reach Siena by the air ports of Rome (3 hours drive), Florence (1 hours drive) or Pisa (1 hours drive). There are convenient bus connections from any these airports getting you right into the city center of Siena.

The central bus terminal is located at „Piazza Antonio Gramsci“ . To get to the apartment in Via delle Vergini 9 its a 9 minutes walk. Some of the overland bus lines do stop also at „Basilica di San Francesco" which is a 7 minutes walk.

Parking in Siena is a problem like in all historic city centers in Italy. Please note that you can not enter with you car into the historic city center of Siena. So you can not drive up in front of the apartment.

The closest public car park is „San Francesco“ (Via Baldassarre Peruzzi) which is a 8 minutes walk.

There is the possibility to park you "car free of charge" in „Viale Pietro Toselli“ (5 minutes drive from San Francesco). To get from „Viale Pietro Toselli“ to the apartment (and vice versa) you can take the city bus (bus line 005) which gets you to the bus stop close to Basilica di San Francesco .
