By car the village is just six miles from the M5 motorway. Leave at junction 30 and head for Exmouth. Two miles before Exmouth you pass the Royal Marines Training Base on your right. Take the next right signposted Lower Lympstone. After about three quarters of a mile and a series of bends you come to a T-junction. Turn right down towards the village centre. The cottage is just last the bridge and shop on the left opposite the Swan Inn. Parking can be found by turning right up the hill at the side of the Swan. There is also a village pay-and-display car park nearby.

By train. The station is just 100 yards from the cottage at the bottom of Station Hill.
