DRIVING FROM SAN JOSE TO SAN BUENAS GOLF RESORT?

From the SJO airport head North on highway #1 Pan-American Highway

About 6 KM north look for the huge Dos Pinos dairy plant on the left; just past Dos Pinos exit the highway to the right and head West. (left)

This road, #721 I think, goes right to the new toll highway (4 KM), #27

Enter the tollway heading North West (right) – the tolls are cheap, less than 1000 colones ($2.00) each toll. YOU DO NEED CASH IN COLONES FOR TOLLS.

Exit tollway just after passing the first toll booth right after passing the town of Orotina; the sign will say highway 34 to Jaco. Stay on pavement – you can't get lost.

Stay on 34 past Jaco and continue South passing through Parrita, Quepos, Dominical, Uvita and Ojochal.

Watch for a small village named Coronado – 2 km south of Coronado you will see the frog on the golf ball signs on top of a bus stop shelter – turn left there, turn right in 200 meters and follow the signs.

The drive will take you 3.5 hours driving time, 4.5 hours with stops.
