How to get there
We are on an island - so you will need to come by ferry from either Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington. We can provide advice on ferries and offer discounted rates for those travelling by car.
If you are travelling by public transport, the best option is to book a train ticket direct to Shanklin and your fare will include the fast catamaran from Portsmouth and the island train ticket. From Shanklin station you can get bus or taxi to Ventnor (10 mins).

Getting around
Whilst its useful to have a car here, its not essential as we are within walking distance of all the shops, cafes and restaurants in Ventnor. We also have beautiful walks from our doorstep. The island buses are great and they even have open top buses to the main tourist sites in the summer months. There is also a small island train which runs from Shanklin to Ryde and is timetabled to join us with the buses and passenger catamaran and hovercraft.
