How to get there
From East Cowes Ferry Terminal, follow the A3054 past Osborne House.
Follow the road through Whippenham, and after 11⁄2 miles, to a roundabout.
– take the A3054 towards Newport.
After 2 miles, in Newport, arrive at a roundabout with traffic lights. Keep left following signs for Sandown. Follow road straight over a roundabout for a mile until a right turn signposted to Shanklin, Godshill, and Ventnor. Follow this road until you come to another right turn in Rookley signed to Niton.
After 4 miles enter Niton, past NISA on your left. At the junction with the White Lion on your right, go straight. As the road drops down and curve left, the entrance to Westcliffe Chalets is on the right, up a small bumpy track. Go up this track to the gates.

Getting around
Ventnor is the closest main town and although the undercliff road collapsed a while ago and has not been rebuilt, it is only ten minutes drive away through Whitwell. Sandown and Shanklin are close by too, and to the west the old military road takes you along the coast to Freshwater and the Needles. A car is recommended but for cyclists (who don't mind the odd hill or two) it is a fantastic way to explore. There is a great bus service -http://www.islandbuses.info/
