How to get there
Nearest airports are Klagenfurt (70km/1h), Ljubljana Slovenia (120km/1h40m), Salzburg (160km/2h), and Trieste Italy (190km/2h15m).
Travelling south from Salzburg or north-west from Klagenfurt, leave the A10 motorway at the Spittal-Millstatter-See junction. Follow the B98 to Dobriach - the lake will be on your right. Starfach will be sign-posted just as you arrive at Dobriach.
The nearest train stations are Spittal (22km) and Paternion Feistritz (17km), with services into Salzburg and other cities.

Getting around
A car is recommended for making the most of the many sights in the region. There are many walking routes that can be joined direct from the house, and the village of Dobriach is a 15 minute walk, although this is down a steep hill for the most part. There is a bus route that serves the region, the closest stop being 10 minutes walk (down the hill). Between December and April there is a skibus that goes to the Bad Kleinkirchheim resort - this is free to those holding a ski pass. Train services run from nearby Spittal (20km away) and Feistritz Paternion (17km).
