Flights go to Bari or Brindisi, both around an hour's drive away. A car is essential as the property is in the countryside, about 10 minutes drive from the nearest town, Martina Franca.

Getting around
Nearby towns: From the trullo you are within easy driving distance of all the main attractions of the Itria valley, as far South as Brindisi and as far North as Bari. You can also make a longer day trip, or an overnight trip, down to the Salentine peninsula to visit Lecce, Gallipoli and the surrounding coasts. Beaches: Martina is in the hills in the centre of the region, so is about halfway between the two coastlines. We tend to prefer the Adriatic coast, which is about 40 minutes drive away, depending which bit you go to. The Ionian coast is beautiful much further South, once you can get away from the ugly port of Taranto, but getting here takes longer. The beaches near Salve are meant to be the best sandy beaches.
