How to get there
BY CAR: FROM THE NORTH: Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway exit Padula Buonabitacolo. Take direction Golfo di Policastro - Sapri. Exit Superstrada Policastro Bussentino take direction Policastro. As an alternative for those coming from the North, exit at Pontecagnano towards Paestum - Agropoli and continue for SP 430 Cilentana up to Policastro Bussentino and then follow Scario direction. FROM SOUTH: Austostrada Reggio Calabria- Salerno. Exit at Lagonegro towards Sapri. From Sapri take direction Policastro-Scario BY PLANE: Naples Capodichino Airport or Lamezia Terme Airport. From Naples / Lamezia Terme, Intercity train, Frecciabianca and Frecciarossa to Sapri. From Sapri to Scario: Curcio Autolinee service or taxi. Alternatively, a private shuttle service can be requested at the time of booking. BY TRAIN: From North and South: Intercity, Frecciabianca and Frecciarossa to Sapri or Policastro From Sapri or Policastro to Scario: Curcio bus service to Scario or taxi. Alternatively, a private shuttle service can be requested at the time of booking. From 18 July, to travelers who reach the Sapri or Policastro station with regional and intercity, Trenitalia offers a free shuttle service to reach the wonderful beaches of Cilento including Scario. Getting around
A five minute walk, on the roundabout in the center of the village, the bus stop of Curcio connects Scario with the other towns of the Gulf of Policastro (Policastro, Villammare, San Giovanni a Piro, Ispani, Celle di Bulgheria, Centola, Roccagloriosa) up to Sapri, major center of the vicinity, where the railway station is located with connections (also fast) to south and north Italy. Curcio buses also offer connections to Palinuro and Marina di Camerota. From the typical small port of Scario (which is 5 min walk from the house) from June to September, boats leave for about 20 minutes for the pristine and enchanted beaches of the Infreschi Bay and Costa della Masseta.
