How to get there
Piraeus is the closest port to Aegina Island and the airport of Athens is the closest airport to Piraeus. The trip from the airport will take between 60 and 90 minutes, from Piraeus to Aegina by Flying Dolphin takes 45 minutes, the regular ferry takes around 75 minutes. So within 3 hours after collecting your bags at the airport, you could be on Aegina. A detailed description on how to get to Aegina is set out below.
Closest airport to the island is Athens International Airport El Venizelos, is located 9 km Piraeus Port. From there the most convenient way to the Port is by bus, which will stop just across pier fro the boats to Aegina, you will have to ask the bus driver to inform you when you are there.

Getting around
The best way to see the site as well as visit beaches, bars, restaurants and the whole Island is to rent a or, motorbike. There are several places to rent both on the Island. There is a municipal bus only 200 meters from our bungalow which will take you to Town or other villages such as Agia Marina, Portes and the ancient temple of Aphaia.
