How to get there

By train

Arriving at the station of Santa Maria Novella the apartment can be reached in two ways::

- By taxi: As you exit the station you will find the taxi rank. The fare is around 8 Euro. Taxis are almost always present and available;

- On foot (5 minutes) Once off the train, leave the station by taking the exit near platform 6. Go down the stairs, cross the track of the tramway using the traffic light and take Via Santa Caterina da Siena. After about 100 meters down the road, at the intersection with Via della Scala go straight in Via Dell'Albero (a small road barely wide enough for a car) which ends in Via Maso Finiguerra. Follow it for about 100 meters more until you reach the intersection with Borgo Ognissanti. Turn left, The Outbuildings Machiavelli is at number 68.

By plane

- Take a taxi at the airport (costs about 25 Euro)

- Or take the shuttle bus to the station of Santa Maria Novella (ticket 6 Euro per person) and then follow the directions outlined above.

By car

Despite being in the city center, the Dependance Machiavelli is located on the border of the ZTL and therefore easily accessible by car. Once you download the luggage for those who wish to park a car, we have negotiated a daily rate of Euro 24 with a garage open every day from 06:00 am to 2:00 am at night in Borgo Ognissanti, just a two minute walk from the apartment.

Getting around

orgo Ognissanti, which owes its name to the Church of All Saints, is a street full of shops and great restaurants (Italian and international), and provides a variety of large and small activities designed to satisfy every need. While Florence is a very quiet town, the presence of the police station makes Borgo Ognissanti a very safe area both day and night. Ideal for daily shopping, a Conad supermarket is right next to the apartment building. For the sweet tooth I recommend the bakery Becagli (also next to the apartment) where you will find every morning fresh bread, cakes, and great ideas for breakfast. In addition, across the street is the bar Blanco, a local very nice place for breakfast or a quick lunch. Going to Piazza Goldoni
