How to get there
If you arrive by Catania Airport put in the GPS Address:
11 Via Marco Polo. Torre Archirafi (Riposto) Catania.
It’s about 45 minutes’ drive from the Catania Fontanarossa airport. Our suggestion is to go on google map and print off directions and also use the GPS. The most direct way is to travel onto the A18 To Messina (all freeway signage is GREEN) head towards a green sign that says Tangenziale (IN GREEN). You will see this word/sign at the airport. Travel straight through to the Telepass Toll gate arches (approx. 12 Ks), grab a ticket and keep on the A18 (still heading toward Messina) until you reach GIARRE turnoff off on your right.
Once on the GIARRE turnoff you will need to pay 70 Euro cents toll (there is a person there). Just keep in mind you need to be driving down toward the sea once off the Toll way. Some of the roads are narrow and you will weave your way down (which is actually the slope of Mt Etna) till you get to the coast which takes about 15 minutes.

Only approx 35 min from Taormina The best way to enjoy the Island of Sicily is by car . The island enjoys a spacious freeway that covers 80% of the island , however you can drive right around the island on their secondary main rd the SS114, both these roads are close by to Casa Marco Polo.
