The closest airport is Faro, just a 70 minute drive away, mainly on motorway. Several budget airlines fly there from numerous UK airports, eg. Getting around
A car is not necessary as the beach, shops, bars and restaurants are all within a short walk ( less than 5 minutes). There is a good local bus service and tourist busses run to local attractions such as water parks.
