How to get there
The nearest airport to Kalkan is Dalaman which is approx 1,5 hours away. Further afield there is also Antalya airport, approx 3.5 hours away by car. During the main summer season, flights can be found to both airports from all major UK airports on a regular basis with companies such as Thomas Cook, Easjet, Monarch and Jet 2. Turkish Airlines and Pegasus also fly daily via Istanbul. A great website to search for and compare flights is skyscanner. Getting around
Within Kalkan itself there is often no need for transport. However, taxis are cheap and readily available or hire cars can be booked. In the surrounding area, there are good transport links to local towns and villages via bus or minibus (dolmus). To visit the many sites of attraction near to Kalkan such as Saklikent Gorge, Patara Ruins & beach, Tlos, Kekova, Myra, Xanthos and the Greek island of Meis- many local tour companies offer daily tours to these sites or car hire is reasonably priced.
