How to get there
Porlock is situated in West Somerset, 6 miles from Minehead, 28 miles from Taunton and 30 miles from Barnstaple.
Exit the M5 motorway at Bridgwater J24 continuing on the A39 or exit the M5 at Taunton J25 following the A358 to Williton, follow A39 to Porlock
Directions to find Maxwelton: if you follow the maps to the centre of Porlock village, (assuming you are coming from the Minehead direction) continue through the village. The road forks at McCoys Corner - bear left up the hill and you will see the Ship Inn on your left. Immediately next to the Ship Inn car park there is a little lane (quite a sharp turning), go up the lane and Exmoor Holidays Maxwelton and Bracken is the first large pink house you see on your right.

Getting around
A car is recommended as there is limited public transport. Guests are welcome to bring bicycles (kept in the garden at your own risk). Mountain bike and E-bike hire available locally. Exmoor Coaster open top hop on hop off bus runs between Watchet and Lynmouth, passing through Porlock.
